Family Guy: Live in NYC

While skimming the upcoming events for our favorite venue, Town Hall, we came across what could possibly be the most awesome thing since Smurfs on Ice. The price, however, will prevent us from witnessing it.
First, the good news: Family Guy Live! will be a live stage event starring the cast of Family Guy reading a classic episode as well as a new episode, followed by a Q&A with the cast and creators of the series. Taking place on Friday April 29th and Saturday the 30th, each night has a 7pm and 10pm show. This is all, presumably, leading up to the May 1st season premiere as well as the Family Guy Live in Las Vegas comedy cd.
Tickets are $55 to $65 (that's the bad news) and can be bought here, at Ticketmaster, which means the actual ticket price will be about $65 to $75. If the entire Griffin family wanted to go, it would cost around $390. [read more @ ToTC]

too bad that ticket price is insane.

the ticket price is completely insane, but have you checked tix for Broadway shows? Even the TKTS booth is a shame.

We're going to the opening show and the closing show. I figure it's money well spent especially since we don't have to sit through a Disney muscial.

And, remember that for most Broadway shows and plays, you're popping for yourself and a date.

For some reason, this doesn't really strike me as the "date" crowd.

Gouged myself for 4 tickets to it! Hopefully it's worth the damage - I think it is, having seen Seth McFarlane so some of his shtick in person before... he's a really funny guy.

I meant to save the paper from the other day for the columnist's email but threw it out anyway.

In an interview with Seth McFarlane, your columnist mentioned Peabody and Sherman, and McFarlane acknowledged there might be something about that in the future.

But there already was. In one episode, one of the flashbacks had Brian, wearing glasses, and Peter as Peabody and Sherman going back in time to Christopher Columbus's voyage.

But there are so many little flashbacks per episode, forgetting one is forgiveable.
