The Circus Comes to Town

2005_3_gothelephants.jpg

Last night, Ringling Brothers Circus arrived in Manhattan by way of the Midtown Tunnel. The main attraction was the running of the elephants up 34th Street around 12:30am. The scene was wonderful chaos- a pack of ten or more elephants, followed by horses, shetland ponies, and two or three squads of PETA protesters. A bunch of the photobloggers were on hand to document the happening- throw a link in the comments and we'll add them to this list:

It's a shame none of the elephants trampled on the PETA idiots.

  • I really want to see the elephants on their way out of town. Does anyone know when that will be? 12:30 of the last night of the show? I'm sad I missed it last night! It looks like it was great fun.
