NYC.gov Is a Bit Screwy

2005_03_loginnyc.jpg

When Gothamist was headed to the city's wesbite, NYC.gov, we were confronted with a login page. Is the city government trying to track down whether visitors are NYC resident or out-of-towners? And how could we have a username if there was never a function to create one? We suppose the website is just a little messed up for the weekend and we'll let it slide until tomorrow. Gothamist will have to call 311 to report this.

If you need to access certain city agencies, we suggest Googling them ("NYC.gov+311" gets you to the accessible DoITT pages, as we were able to get to the FDNY and Parks Department, but the Mayor's Office - no luck).

Must have been a glitch. Seems to be fixed. At least it's working from my computer...
