The wine-snob types exist, no doubt about it. But in truth, the vast majority of people into wine aren't that way. More and more, the wine-snob thing seems to be an artifact. Though maybe that's just here in the Bay Area.

Yes, I too am tired of those snobs who probably started drinking wine as a way to say "I've made it." once they started making $60K. Luckily, more people are realizing that wine is only as serious a topic as you make it.
