I thought Dasani was filtered local tap water? Which is why drinking Dasani when travelling abroad in countries with polluted water sources isn't a good idea.

Dave, thanks for the WSJ link. I know some people give their pets Brita water, but in my circles, it's never gone the bottled water route.

YES, jaykayess, it's nothing more than purified water "enhanced with minerals," which means it's not spring water, it's basically just water from a tap into which they've added "minerals." I get really irritated about these non-spring waters being bottled and sold. it's a total sham constantly being sold to consumers. but then, many would say that buying ANY bottled water of any sort is a sham as well. p.s. however, I do love the idea of these commercial.

Isn't Dasani the brand that's notorious for being nothing more than tap water in a bottle? I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing the words "spring" or "source" anywhere on their packaging.

Of course, the reductio ad absurdum end of animals being the most finicky water drinkers would lead to bottled water specifically for pets. And there is such a thing, as pointed out in the WSJ last Friday.
