SXSW Pep Rally

This is the week that NYC takes a field trip to Austin, Texas for SXSW. Gothamist will be heading out very, very early Friday morning to report on the rock for you, so stay tuned for coverage and special features here as well as at Austinist. We plan to rest up this week but not until after the SXSW Pep Rally! We figure a pep rally is like the equivalent of drinking Sparks (minus the increased heart rate and shaking), so bring your vim and moxie to Rothko tonight. The rally features the US debuts of two Brit bands on the rise, Maximo Park and Hot Chip. We hear there will also be cheerleaders on hand to make sure you are in the S-P-I-R-I-T! Of course, if you aren't going to SXSW you should still go tonight.
The Tarts of Pleasure will be DJing before, between, and after sets.
Doors are at 9, Hot Chip goes on at 10 and Maximo Park goes on at 11. The ticket is $6.
