Two food events of note over the next few days. Don't let a little snow keep you away!

2005_02_food_Giada.jpgMarch 1: The Edible Airwaves -- How to Cook for Television, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m at the Museum of Television and Radio. This panel features Food Network personalities Mario Batali, Alton Brown, and Giada De Laurentiis (pictured at right), and is moderated by Jeffrey Steingarten. Tickets are $15 each for non-members, $12 for members, and $7 for students with valid ID, and can be purchased by calling (212)621-6600. 25 West 52nd Street, between 5th & 6th Aves. March 2nd: Newest Gourmet Garage Opening. Gourmet Garage is movin' on up to the East Side! Their newest location will bring upscale groceries to 1245 Park Avenue between 96th and 97th streets. The new store will feature Peet’s coffee, a sushi bar, hot soups to go, organic produce, plus an extensive catering menu.

Gothamist enjoyed stalking meeting Jeffrey Steingarten at the first Big Apple Barbecue Block Party a while back.

    Ditto, Giada is a major HOTTIE. Hope she's coming back to the east coast after this event for her new cookbook signing.

    yeah. great rack too, there was a food network special where she toured florence & venice and had on her street clothes, very revealing. NICE.
