Those sound like good criteria to me. Reviews are always fun, so go to it (may require limiting alcoholic intake). Could suggest themes: "how can this place still be open" (on those odd bars that remain empty yet open), "does any one here actually live in manhattan?" (B&T hotspots), "is any one here over 30? (Bleeker Street), etc. If you need a stenographer/drink fetcher, I'm your man.

Ms. A, does that mean you personally had the chance to make out in the aforementioned booth? Yowza! Jen -- that's a great story! Max -- no sudden new interest, really. Ask Your Bartender bar selections are made based on the following incredibly scientific criteria: 1) I'm there; 2) I'm not so trashed that I can't write down answers to questions. Gothamist Food may have some actual bar reviews in the not-too-distant future -- is this a feature you'd like to see?

Not to be a hater (cuz I have enjoyed the bar) but wasnt DH's moment in the sun a few years ago? Why the suddent new interest?

Hands down, the best make-out spot in the city. You gotta get there early to claim the booth with the beaded curtain--total privacy. It's the best.
