Another Presidential Mess

2005 Presidential Mess (of snow)
It's depressing how that headline can bring so many different possibilities to mind. We'll let you conjure up your own, while we tell you about ours. Dig up your boots, mittens, cap, and you'll probably want an umbrella too. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for us, and delivers it like a teaser for this week's ER... if you haven't seen an episode yet this season... you've got to see this one:
WIDESPREAD ACCUMULATING SNOW HAS BEEN ABSENT FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY SO FAR. BUT WITH ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE AREA AND A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHING LATE TODAY...THE STAGE HAS BEEN SET FOR AN ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL TO DEVELOP TONIGHT.

The prediction is for snow to start tonight, with 5-7 inches to falling before it begins to turn to rain Presidents Day. So while things will clear up by the time we all head back to work, the remnants will surely be messy. (chuckle).

So what does this have to do with another presidential mess? We wish we could see the images in your minds right now... While last year's February was relatively quiet on the snowfall front, 2003 brought us a record 19+ inches at this exact moment. And like a look back into our future, Gothamist on the ensuing slush puddle.
