Andrew Carnegie founded 22 institutions. The one called the Carnegie Institution never had anything to do with Carnegie Hall, and since 1960 Carnegie Hall has been a city-owned non-profit known as the Carnegie Hall Corporation.

Hmmm... no mention of Margaret Sanger, though she was right there in the forefront of eugenics (it's easy to find this out- look up any complete collection of her essays and letters). But I suppose that she has been sanitized and redeemed for other purposes, which are, of course, totally unrelated to making sure that certain kinds of people don't reproduce.

What is the point of this post? That America's ultrawealthy have funded bad social policy? If so, it would seem that Gothamist would have noted the recent passing of Joseph Kennedy's daughter, and his role in supporting the lobotomization of "undesirables". Can you enlighten us?
