Afraid of getting mugged in Brooklyn: no, not really.

Afraid of getting lost wandering around some boring neighborhoods in Brooklyn, missing out on all the good stuff, and wasting my effing time: yeah, definitely.

(remember: there's only so much a Hagstrom map dated 1997 can tell you)

Do you think one of the business opportunities will be "president of a co-op board?"

"Protect the value of your shares by evicting endangered birds, rejecting the applications of brown-skinned millionaires, and using the administrative courts to obstruct the development of public benefits like streets, subways, and utilities!"

Biran, are you serious? You're afraid of riding the N train into Brooklyn? Good lord!

Get a Metrocard. Get on the train. And if you are assaulted, threatened or harassed in any way while riding the N train I will gladly award you something to compensate for such a "dangerous" mission.

On-topic: While this game seems nice and family friendly, anyone taking any bets on what the crew at Rockstar games are brewing up? GTA: Brooklyn Zoo?

Additional note:

A photo-realistic, up-to-date game depiction of Brooklyn? With local neighborhood highlights? Yes, please! That'll make me a least a little less queasy about hopping on an N train and riding it until whatever stop looks good past the Manhattan Bridge...

A photo-realistic game where you can explore New York City, even if it's just Manhattan? Consider me sold. I can see myself starting the game up Friday night, then not noticing the passing of time until I'm late for work Monday morning.

Seriously, I'm a very sick person when it comes to these things. Maybe it's best I just stick to Google Maps and A9 Yellow Pages. (I actually clicked and dragged myself all the way to Washington DC the other day on the 2nd-to-smallest detail level. I'm a sad sad map geek)
