The best trivia by far in the city is every Tuesday night at Duke's on 19th and Park Ave. The guy who host is absolutely hysterical, and brings a fun new way of pub trivia that destroys the regular boring impossible games that are only good for those who no what a protractor is good for. Duke's Trivia is more fun because it every question has its own theme music and their are more pop culture oriented questions that are good for everyone. Plus the sound effects and movie clips make you feel like you are in a real game show. If you are looking for an alternative to the boring pub trivia nights go to Duke's every Tuesday at 8pm on 19th and Park Ave.

Patio in Park Slope (on 5th ave and Sackett) has Quizzo with a good range of question topics every other Tuesday night at 9.

Rocky Sullivan's (Murray Hill) does one every Thursday that's a lot of fun in limited doses -- the questions are often really, really hard, but both they and the quizmaster's jokes are repeated fairly often. BQT is still the best I've been to.

pete's candy store in williamsburg has a great - and really challenging - quiz on wednesdays. the hosts change week to week, so there's variety.

Buttermilk in Park Slope runs a Dr. Facts Trivia Night the 2nd Monday of every month. One trivia task was to name songs from abbreviated melody lines played by Scott, the neighborhood accordianist.

Bar Matchless in Greenpoint has a good one on Tuesday night that includes free tacos.
