The demanding diva announced yesterday on live TV that she's willing to undergo elective surgery to have her breasts enlarged because her new husband, Al Reynolds, "cares about boobs." She wants, "a little lift, they're saggy," Jones told viewers on yesterday's edition of "The View."It's NOT news, unless the Post is trying to make sure readers have bulimia. Granted, Gothamist is spreading the news, but it's because we feel distributing the news will help dissipate the horror.
The View cannot begin its week in LA sooner.

Gothamist, please--no more insipid stories like Star Jones [anticipated] boob job. BTW, in yesterday's blog about NYC's proposed budget, you wrote "more tomorrow." At the time I thought that meant you were going to follow up with more details today, but I guess you just meant "more tomorrow" in the newspapers. But inquiring minds still want to know!

Leave Star Jones alone. Nobody is saying to get rid of Kelly Rippa? Is this because Kelly is blond? Who made a law saying that a talk show host, gossip columnist or spokeswoman has to be or look or say certain things? If Star Jones wasn't drawing in the news media and interest, than you might have a case. She has an audience that is interested in her. What about the days of Marla or Kathy Lee? They didn't incur your wrath. Why not get rid of Donald Trump? Now there is an idiot. But you tolerate him because he is a white man with a lot of money.
Frivolity is part of the American way. African American women have just as much of a right to be frivolous as all the ditzy blonds on TV!!!! But Star is not just fun, she is smart and asks great questions. She was great on the Golden Globes.
Star Jones speaks her mind. Somebody out there is interested and someone is making money or she wouldn't be on anymore.
