My personal favorite part of the Times article was the quote from the spongebob defending lawyer. Rather than giving some legalistic answer, his only response was the the Dobson crowd clearly "needed medication". Because that's clearly the only response that I could come up with as well.

Hmm. Spongebob is a sea sponge. Scientifically, sea sponges are hermaphroditic organisms, and produce both sperm and egg. Sponges also reproduce asexually by forming buds, which isn't really gay at all. Since there's no such thing as a male or female sea sponge, Spongebob doesn't really have a choice being gay or straight--so it's unfair to label him as either.

To tell you the truth, it was only a matter of time before they tagged Spongebob for being part of the gay agenda's movement for turning kids.
