Well PIG N OUT did it again. They now have been given great review by: New York Post, New York Daily New, New York Magazine, and FINALLY THE NEW YORK TIMES....... They have really come a long way.... The food is as amazing as the owners philosophy of serving all their customers as if they are all family members.... I can't say enough about the place.... JUST TRY IT and YOU'LL BE HOOKED>>>>>>>

Hay... The PIG N OUT has been reviewed by the New York Post and is right up there with RUB and Bone Lick Park. You might want to revisit and rethink you review.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience was so unappealing. I would tend to agree that initially when Pig N out first open the restaurant was still trying to work out all the kinks. BUT based on my last visit, about a week ago. I found the food/flavor's much IMPROVED and quit APPETIZING. Additionally, the owner's have taken the initiative of soliciting response from their customers. I can honestly say that they have even implements a few of my suggestions, such as not limiting the free side. Over all I find the ambiance and food quit satisfying.

What about Bone Lick on Greenwich Ave?

I found the Times review of Dino BBQ bittersweet. Sweet because it exactly matched my opinion. Bitter because Dino BBQ wasn't only so-so.

oops -- didn't realize it was Mr. Piggly Wiggly. My bad. We mean him no ill-will. I was just looking for a "no-pig" or "no-bbq" type graphic. . .

Josh Cohen, former chef of Relish (Williamsburg), has a Carolina-style BBQ restaurant called Bisquit. It's on Flatbush Avenue off Seventh Avenue, right on the edge of Park Slope and Prospect Heights. Amazing. The once a month pig roast (by invitation if you sign up) is not to be missed.

Just to show good taste runs in the house, his gf Maya has a great little place on Smith St called Sample. No BBQ but worth the trek.

Well if that one was no good, try the new Dinosaur BBQ up in West Harlem. The NYer and the Times gave it mixed reviews but what would you expect them to know about ribs? also go here - www.hotinharlem.com/
