Bar Tonno No More

2004_12_food_oysters.jpgGothamist had an amazing meal at Bar Tonno a few weeks back. We were wowed by chef Kyohei Fukushi's crudo (and smitten with sous-chef Paul's Australian accent), so we were somewhat dismayed when we read that it had closed. New York Magazine reports that:

After opening to immediate critical acclaim, in these pages and elsewhere, Bar Tonno closed late last month, a victim of partners who couldn’t reach an operational consensus (when do they ever?).
Ack! But, reading on, we learned that Kyohei Fukushi is going to stay on and re-open the place as Bar Sapa, serving traditional Japanese cuisine. Whew. Now, if we could only find out if Paul will be there too . . .

I just don't have much to say recently. Such is life. I've basically been doing nothing. Basically nothing seems worth bothering with. Oh well.

Not much on my mind these days, but what can I say? It's not important. I just don't have much to say lately. I've just been letting everything pass me by recently, but eh.
