Admittedly the graph also sucks eggs! The labels were way to the side so I couldn't include them when I cropped the original. One of these days I'll try to explain it. Who knew that weasels eating eggs would have multicultural meanings?

Sucks eggs comes from the eating habits of weasels: they break into birds' nests and suck the meat of the egg. When you tell someone to "go suck an egg", you're essentially calling them a weasel.

This is the first time I've ever EVER seen the term 'suck eggs' in English. Awesome! People say 'me chupa un huevo' or 'me chupa tres huevos' in Buenos Aires. The English translation of the latter has been the header to my blog since the beginning. Me chupa un huevo is perfect: a mix of 'fuck you' and 'whatever'. Totally porteño.

Finally, I understand where sleet comes from. Henious, henious sleet. But the graph is all greek to me--there's no labels on the axes.
