Man, those kids in Long Island really like heaving things onto the highway. Before Thanksgiving, a group of teens sent a woman to the hospital after throwing a turkey and now another group of teens is charged with throwing a wooden reindeer at a bus. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured in the latest incident of suburban boredom. The reindeer struck a bus and broke glass above the windshield, sending glass into the bus driver's eyes. Thomas Barrella, 16, and two minors, 15 and 12, were arrested following the incident. Barrella was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief, while the minors were charged with third-degree criminal mischief.
What's the next holiday themed object they will throw? Easter bunnies, people wearing 2005 glasses, groundhogs, leprechauns? Kids these days...

And one of the fathers of one of the alleged perpetrators was on tv screaming that his kid didn't do anything.
These kids need to be spanked and given hobbies. I had them growing up and look how I turned out! I only throw things indoors and no one gets hurt...except for me.
kids these day, they're so spoiled! in my day all we had to throw were lumps of coal.
Too many video-computer games. The violence has to release somewhere. Studies of effects of video virtually all conclude that it increases level of aggression in children. The Pentagon now uses video-computer games in training precisely because it is effective in increasing aggression, among other things. What is useful for soldiers is not good for normal teens, unless they plan to join the military.
perhaps nerf might be able to help out
wait... broken glass in eyes, and "no serious injuries"? I'd be bitching about my "serious injury" if I had glass in my eyeballs.
Let's hope the next things they throw into oncoming traffic are themselves. It would give new meaning to "bridge and tunnel crowd."
i think that they were just fooling around and they didn't think it was going to do that much damage. It was probably a stupid little prank, they didn't do it intentionally to hurt the bus driver. I kno that it was stupid of them, but i dont think this is as serious as the "turkey incident"
