Goo Goo Ga Ga in Union Square

Toys

Earlier this year, Toys "R" Us announced they might stop selling toys and they are!! Okay, kind of. They are liquidating items at their Union Square location, readying it for Babies "R" Us, a division which is doing booming baby business. The store is expected to close in February or March for the conversion. The Times Square location will not be closed or converted.

Does this mean we're going to see more babies in Union Square? If so, will all adults in the area start with their silly faces and baby noises? Gothamist is ready with our permanently silly faces. Will this mean a baby renaissance or the East side of Union Square? We have an idea! Piggybacking off the success of the Babies "R" Us location, open up a day care center next door that would cater to the parents who could shop and then go across the park for lunch or early dinner.

Yeah, as if I'd let those Argentinian monkeys at de la Guarda take care of my kid...

But if you could drop the kids off, strap'em in harnesses and let'em swing around for a few hours, out of trouble...This is even better than Chuck E Cheese!
