It's really only the first day of Christmas season. There are eleven days left---all the way to Three Kings (January 6). Most businesses don't seem to be very active the last week of the year anyway. Too many people take off the whole week.

i, like many "service workers", will be stuck working the christmas holidays in full. hotels can't run without it, and as much as it is rough, i'll have to wait until tuesday for my 'alterna-christmas'. merry christmas/holidays to all - just don't come and stay in my hotel! (joking, of course)

For many people (not from the US), Xmas is today, a Friday, because they celebrate Xmas eve and not Xmas day... And to be a troll, Xmas has very little to do with Jesus, who was like born in the Spring or something... Otherwise where did the trees and the beared guy come from anyhow...
