Honestly, the Bernard Kerik flap gets better and better each day. Forget affairs with Judith Regan or a correction co-workers. Forget the possible mob tie. It's stuff like finding out that former police commissioner Kerik had a wife no one knew about. Gothamist wonders how much Kerik thought he could hide, 'cause Senates love to dig up everything about nominees - almost as much as bloggers do! We expect that USA Networks will snap up the rights to Kerik's story soon, because it is too colorful not to be on screen.
The Daily Show had a great segment about Kerik, "Cop Rocked," involving Giuliani as well as Roombas.

Gee, Rudy... thanks for putting me up for the job!
There needs to be even more of a focus on Rudy Giuliani's role in this. From the great big freebie-grabbing flapping id that is Bernie Kerik, to the most despised fire commishioner in FDNY's history, to a disgraced priest who molested boys and then helped the Diocese of Rockville Center bury his and others crimes... maybe its time we focus on just who is on the payroll of Giuliani Partners?
Rudy Giuliani had two good weeks. And he and his band of knuckleheads have been livin' large off of them for a long time. They're starting to pale.
Kerik is a big winner from 9/11--a new career, millions of dollars. 9/11 saved him from obscurity in the poorhouse. Someone somewhere used the term "9/11 profiteer" for Guilian1. That certainly fits Kerik and his character too.
cant wait to meet them in person
I'm tired of people calling Giuliani and Kerik and other officials heroes. It was in their job descriptions to lead press conferences and direct the city's response to a criminal act, even one as horrific as 9/11. Sure, they did a great job altogether, but I'm sure Bloomberg would do well in response to such a tragedy, too. Let's leave the hero label for the people who stayed with co-workers on high floors, or to the firemen who from day one signed up for a job knowing it could lead to their deaths.
