Gothamist is sorry we missed the NYC Surface Art Show, which ended yesterday and featured paintings by Paul Carluccio. Michael Cosentino of Meccapixel took a picture of the paintings at the gallery, and Gothamist would love a manhole painting on our wall.

Forgotten-NY on manhole covers of the city. Gothamist on the manhole tattoo.

If not on your wall, at least you could have them on your bookshelf:
Designs Underfoot: The Art of Manhole Covers in New York City by Diana Stuart.
I haven't read it, but saw it for sale while out xmas shopping this afternoon.
