Damn it! Does anyone know where the New York SantaCon 2004 10:00AM kick off is? I can't find the info anywhere.

KB, Omaha called. It'd like its disingenuous sense of disapproval back. This will be my first SantaCon, and I couldn't be more excited. After cycling through a number of concepts (Homeless Santa, Alzheimers Santa, Hassidic Santa), I decided to go back to my roots and come as Redneck Santa. See you all Saturday!

Santacon is the highlight of the holiday season for me. It gives you a chance to delight kids and freak out their suburb parents at the same time. I've done it the past two years and every year it gets bigger and wilder.

kb: I think it's aweful too. I am in awe at this great idea. Or did you mean "awful"? In that case, isn't the rampant commercialization of Christmas pretty awful? Or the fact that you can't escape overplayed, syrupy Christmas music on the radio? Or how about the birth of Christ being appropriated in the 1700s to produce the current Christmas, and to invent Santa Claus? Instead, we have people enjoying themselves, non-commercially, creatively, in a fun way. Sounds good to me. And who can argue with booze? ;)
