The BBC reports that Warburtons graciously asked 2,000 filmgoers what the cheesiest movie lines were, and their answers are this:
1. "I'm the king of the world!" - Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) in Titanic
2. "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" - Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) in Dirty Dancing
3. "Is it still raining? I hadn't noticed." - Carrie (Andie MacDowell) while standing in a downpour in Four Weddings in a Funeral
4. "Ditto" - Sam (Patrick Swayze) after Molly (Demi Moore) says "I love you" in Ghost
5. "You can be my wingman any time." - Iceman (Val Kilmer) to Maverick (Tom Cruise) in Top Gun
6. "I'm just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her." - Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) in Notting Hill
7. "Today we celebrate our Independence Day." - President Whitmore (Bill Pullman) in Independence Day
8. "They may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!" - William Wallace (Mel Gibson) in Braveheart
9. "You had me at hello." - Dorothy (Renee Zellweger) in Jerry Maguire
10. "No, I'm a postman." - The Postman (Kevin Costner) to a blind woman who says, "You're a godsend, a saviour," in The Postman
The list certainly has a bunch of no-brainers; Gothamist loves that two of the dopiest lines ever made it ("Is it still raining?..." and "I'm just a girl..."). However, we're curious about the methodology of the survey - it seems like the filmgoers surveyed were given a list of recent cheesy movie quotes...or were films before 1986 not considered cheesy? Londonist, can you tell us more?
What do you think is the cheesiest movie line? We happen to like "Nobody puts Baby in the corner," if only because Dirty Dancing also stars Jerry Orbach and Kelly Bishop (now so good on The Gilmore Girls).

"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." — Dorothy, in The Wizard of Oz
"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"
-James T. Kirk (Will Shatner) "Wrath of Khan"
The only things I care about in this goddamned world are me, my drums and you.
much better from Dirty Dancing:
"I carried a watermellon. . .I carried a watermellon?"
"I've got a head for business and a bod for sin - anything wrong with that?"
"I've got a murder at 1600 Pennsylvania, an address that changes all the rules."
Best line of 2004
"A dog with a fart gladdens the heart."
(from Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "A Very Long Engagement")
Can we include horribly cheesy choruses?
"I'm just a b-boy, standin' in my b-boy stance."
-- "B-Boy Stance," K-OS
And then, as much as I adore Bill Condone, he does land a few clunkers in "Kinsey."
I mean, poor Peter Saarsgard:
"Sex is a risky game, because if you're not careful, it will cut you wide open."
"My name ees Connorrrr MacCleod uff ze clan MacCleaod, ant aye cannot diee."
Christopher Lambert uses that as a pickup line in two Highlander films... and both times IT WORKS! Roxanne Hart and Virginia Madsen watch the guy get, respectively, stabbed in the heart and explosively french-fried, and before you can say "Bob's yer movie critic," bang! It's gravity time for the knickers.

It's gravity time for the knickers.
Good Quote; "Life`s hard but it`s harder when you`re stupid." An oldie but goodie.
"Love means never having to say your sorry." -Love Story
Gad, how could this line not have been mentioned? Or was it just way too obv cheesy?
"Your the disease, and I'm the cure" Sylvester Stallone in the movie "Cobra"
