Holiday Lights At The Bronx Zoo

The Bronx Zoo has a special Holiday Lights event every winter - the Zoo is lit up with lighted animals, and real animals come out to meet visitors. Tonight is the opening night of Holiday Lights, and it's free. If you can't make it up to the Bronx, Holiday Lights is open Friday through Sunday, between 5 and 9PM until December 19th, and then it's open nightly December 20 - January 9 (5-9PM), except for December 24 and 25. It's a magical time. Gothamist says go up to Arthur Avenue and buy some Italian groceries and then head over to the Bronx Zoo.
