Another undefeated team loses this week in Wisconsin, and tumbles way down the rankings from last week. Utah moves up to #5, but Boise State is nowhere to be seen after a shootout against San Jose State. Will another undefeated fall this week, or will championship week be a deciding factor for Auburn and Oklahoma? USC plays Notre Dame, OU plays Baylor, Utah faces BYU, Boise State plays Louisiana Tech and Auburn faces Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
1. Auburn – Best team in the country…and they might not even get a chance to prove it in the Orange Bowl.
2. Southern Cal – Look good, too bad they aren’t in a better conference.
3. Oklahoma – On a neutral field, we’d pick both Auburn and USC over them.
4. California – Stanford is next, and strange things can happen in rivalry games.
5. Utah – It will be very interesting to see what happens if Utah makes the BCS. Of course, if they only beat Boston College that won’t prove much.
6. Michigan – Look for another ugly, close road game in Columbus on Saturday. Michigan has more talent, but that doesn’t mean much in this series.
7. Texas – Sorry, but if you need a miracle to beat Kansas, people are going to jump you in the polls.
8. Miami – Now it just gets ugly. Who do you put here? Florida State lost to Miami and only had 124 yards of offense vs. NC State. Wisconsin just got blasted by Michigan State. Louisville hasn’t really beaten anyone. Georgia has one quality win all year. Guess it's Miami by default.
9. Florida State
10. Georgia
11. Wisconsin
12. Iowa – Look for them to beat the Badgers this week.
13. Louisville
14. LSU
15. Virginia Tech

Too bad USC isn't in a better conference?! It should be more like, too bad Auburn didn't play better non-conference opponents. Div-1AA CITADEL?! If Auburn had challenged themselves, and played games out of their time zone, there would be no room for debate.
The Pac-10 is better than the SEC this year, and USC has a stronger schedule than Auburn.
The Pac-10 has #1 and #4 teams, and another top 25. UCLA is also okay this year. And USC beat W. Virginia, and will play Notre Dame.
As compelling as the Auburn-Citadel matchup was, I say there is no better way to make a statement than starting off your season against Louisana-Monroe.
Anyways, I can't wait for the Orange Bowl.
