Dating bloggers is a horrible idea. Bloggers should remain lonely, bitter and vengeful, lest their writing quality suffer.

I always love to meet fellow bloggers, but have not yet ventured into the world of dating them. Not sure it's such a good idea.

i'm all for getting to know people through their blogs - seems to have worked out well for myself. and some of my best friends are due to blogging, so all in all good experiences.

"Meet cute" is a term that's shorthand - and I'm trying to explain it as best I can - for "how two people meet in a cute way and they will strike up a romantic relationship." I see "meet cute" a lot in movie reviews. For example, in Roger Ebert's movie review of Before Sunrise, he writes, " They Meet Cute on a train in Austria." In his review of Notting Hill, he writes, "The film of course begins with a Meet Cute; she wanders into his bookstore, enjoys the way he handles a would-be shoplifter and their eyes, as they say, meet."

Oops, I was thinking of a couple of different titles (one in the declarative, one in the interrogative). It's meant to be "Is The New Meeting Cute Meeting Blog?" Boo on me.

The musician's blog is here. The "other woman" is Stephanie Klein (she ID'd herself on This Fish), who took last week's infamous lechon photo.

Yup, definitely a header mess-up. And on the "meeting people through their blogs" topic, I have had great experiences meeting women through their blogs, and the guys I've met, while none of them have blossomed into romance, have all been fun, too. I think there are worse ways to meet someone. Of course, if the blogger in question regularly blogs their emotional/sexual life, you're dealing with something different. I don't know how Fish and the Musician managed this whole thing--sounds like a nightmare to me. But I guess their story proves it's workable.
