<description>&lt;p&gt;I agree... it is a ttoal waste of taxpayers money to raise the contribution cap.  I think what they should do is keep the old cap and not allow people to spend more than that.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Valid point, but let&apos;s face it - is it better to turn political office into something only rich people can attain to?  I actually like a lot of what the Mayor is trying to do (whether or not it&apos;s been successful is another issue) but it&apos;s possible that someone else who doesn&apos;t have the same kind of campaign warchest has more innovative or effective ways of affecting change to institutions that need it.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
