But is it The Politics of Theater or The Theater of Politics?

Just in time for Election Day comes Pulling The Lever, an interesting sounding new work from Rising Circle Theatre Collective. The Collective provides a voice for artists of color, joining voices to nurture and produce theatre that reflects their experiences.

Pulling the Lever culls interviews from a cross-section of Americans regarding voting and the upcoming election. There are a range of voices expressing opinions about voting, the election, and almost every issue that touches us personally. The show opens on October 28th and run through November 6th at the Wings Theatre in the West Village. Tickets are $15 dollars each. Additional information and ticketing info can be found here. And an interview with the director Rod Bowen and writer Deepa Purohit can be found here.

Screw anything with the word "Collective" in the name. If you don't have your own voice, get surgery.
