<description>&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the recipe--the almonds sound good. Minor quibble: I&apos;d be a bit offended if my dining companion felt entitled to &quot;protest&quot; my appetizer. Especially if (s)he viewed a 1500-calorie butter/oil/potato/cheese/nut/cream salad as a more appropriate first course. Not that I&apos;d comment at dinner--can&apos;t we all live and let live? And let table manners live, too?&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Mmm, fondue.  Fondue is a highly underrated meal, probably because it makes people full in under 5 minutes.  So having a Salad with a small portion of fondue is a clever way to bring fondue into the everyday.  Excellent!&lt;/p&gt;</description>
