This past weekend was that great event where various New York instituations and spaces open up their doors to the curious: Open House New York. Let us know if you went and what you thought; and if you have pictures, paste the links in comments and we'll post to them.

Went over to the Greenwood Cemetery:

We arrived at TWA's Terminal Five to discover the show's unceremonious vacation, so we hit the new Jet Blue facilities in search of consolation. Stiff drinks, though aesthetically average, eased our frustration, though it was a lot of to-and-fro for no final destination.
lots more photos here of Anderson Architects, TEK, Leroy Street Studio, and the Vitra showroom.
I went to the Masonic Lodge and then to the Hindu Temple Association out in Queens. You weren't allowed to take photographs so I did some drawings - 3/5 up, the rest by the end of the day. It was great.
I went to the Austrian Cultural Forum on 52nd street

Only got out on Sunday. Next year, I'll know better - some of the best sites were only open on Saturday:
