I have to say that it is very weird to have been quoted in the New York Times talking about Ludacris. And lest anyone challenge my street cred (or my 212 number), I know that the song is "Area Codes" not "Area Code". The author of that article had never heard of the song before, which I thought was hilarious for someone writing an article about area codes.

I have a 212 cell number - all I did was port my Manhattan landline number to my cell (which is now possible) before I moved to Brooklyn! But be warned- it takes up to a month to switch a landline number over to your cellphone, so plan ahead!
