You Are Not Living In Seattle

NOAA: TD Jeanne Duumping her load

Just a friendly reminder from Gothamist as we get ready to deal with (sigh) another swirly hurricane has-been. Now tropical depression Jeanne has already started to dump its load on us and will continue for most of the day before a cold front comes in from the west tonight and says "Get the hell outta here already!". The National Weather Service summed it pretty artistically.

... TROPICAL DEPRESSION JEANNE TO GIVE THE AREA GLANCING IMPACTS AS IT EXITS STAGE RIGHT...

Then temps will be more along the lines of fall weather keeping things in the 60s tomorrow with sun. Yes! Unleash the leafers.

Tropical storm Lisa thankfully wants nothing to do with us it seems, as she plans to head straight north towards Greenland.

Want to track tropical storms yourself? NOAA has blank tracking charts in pdf format that you can print out, stick on your wall, and use your crayons to mark the path of hurricanes. We still have a couple of months left in hurricane season which officially "ends" November 30th. But historically, some of the worst hurricanes have happened later in the season. Ugh.

For the record... Seattle actually averages less total rainfall than we do, but we're still better.
