Gothamist: Why is This Wine Different from all Other Wines?

I was watching Joan Micklin Silver's "Crossing Delancy" on TV last week. Not only is it a charming and compelling movie, but it's a virtual time capsule of a Manhattan which no longer exists -- most notably the UWS and the LES. The was a shot of Shapiro's Wine (or one of its predecessors)and where it now says: House of Kosher Wines it said: "The wine you can cut with a knife." I laughed out loud.

and tons of other stuff is certified by the orthodox union.

dont forget that they label this wine kosher to line the pockets of the various rabbinical groups who certify these wines. and don't forget the rest of the food in your pantry. have you ever noticed that ketchup, mustard, potato chips, salsa and a great variety of all other foods in our apartments are labeled kosher? take a close look. this is a great sham being perpetrated on the american people by these so called rabbinical groups.
