Our forecast: nice.

Bahamas and Florida forecast: not so nice.

Frances remains a Category 4 storm, is pounding southeast Bahamas this morning, and is on track to make landfall over Palm Beach County, Florida sometime tomorrow. Forecasts from five different hurricane models are all in close agreement about Frances' path for the next couple of days. Their agreement lends a degree of confidence to the forecast.

Our Weather Service office, which has updated the way it presents their forecast discussion by linking obscure terms and jargon to a glossary, is guessing at this point that we will see rain from Frances early next week.
