as was posted elsewhere in a related thread, democrats outnumber republicans in this city by a margin of about 4 - 1, despite having elected 2 republican mayors. This city's spirit overall is not one of social conservatism. So it is not innacurate for most people to feel invaded by the RNC.

The protests are not going to be a bunch of outsiders coming inot our city to impose thier will on us---that's what the republicans are doing. Don't forget that some of us who have been born and raised and still live in New York are not only Republicans but (gasp!) social conservatives!

Just returned from MSG and the Farley Post Office where the media is station (used the media walkway over 8th Ave.)... the site is pretty dead today... alot of last minute construction work to finish the arena floor.

What irks me is that the nearest Filene's to where I live for some strange reason does not have the matching panties to the bras anymore! What's with that! That makes about as much sense as anything I've heard the Liberal Democrats ranting and raving about!!!!!!!
