diane arbus is my most favorite photographer of all time. they better do a good job portraying her, or i am going to be pissed.

I *love* Samantha Morton. She was fantastic in "In America". She's a very under-appreciated actor. I like Arbus' photographs and "Secretary" was a great movie, so all-in-all, I think this movie has fantastic potential.

I agree with Susan Sontag on this one-- I think Arbus was condescending toward her subjects and made them out to be freaks, just for the ironic thrill of it. I'll see the movie though, 'cuz I love Samantha and hope they do a good job of highlighting Arbus's controversial work.

Her (ex?) husband (pictured) played the shrink on MASH. For some reason watching him always made me feel incredibly voyeuristic. Her work is fantastic.
