Preliminary Plans for 9/11 Observance

The City announced their preliminary plans for the third anniversary of September 11th yesterday. There will be an observance at the site of the World Trade Center in the early morning followed by the "Tribute in Light".

During morning observance, the names of the victims will be read with moments of silence for when the planes hit and the towers fell. Family members will be allowed on the site until the late afternoon. At sundown, the light tribute will be turned on, but for one night only.

More details about the remembrance will be released by The City in September.
