- Friday night in Jamaica, Rowland Erby killed Wayne Fung with a bayonet because he thought Fung was flirting with his girlfriend. A bayonet? Serious? What's next? Shooting by musket? Terror by cannon? Bombing by balloon? At least Erby kept it in the right place, the attic. Erby was arrested at the scene and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

- In the Bronx, a man was killed in a drive by shooting on his 23rd birthday. birthday death. Jimison Shuler was shot five times on East Tremont Avenue. The shooting may have been related to a fight on the dance floor. The search for suspects is still underway. The shooting was all due to a case of mistaken identity.

- Early Sunday morning, six people were shot outside a house party in Harlem. No arrests have been made yet in the shooting that took place around 1 am.

- In Brooklyn, at around 1:30 am Sunday, two women were struck by a car in a hit and run accident. One victim is in serious condition with multiple fractures while another is in stable condition with a broken leg.

- The Post groups all the party deaths into a succinct article. The Harlem party above, a Brooklyn party with a sword wielding host, and a Queens birthday party shooting. At the Brooklyn party, the host killed a party crasher when the group of uninvited guests started to beat up someone at the party. At the Queens birthday party, Leon Wilson left a party, was shot in the chest, and died in the hospital.

I don't suppose Cleveland is anywhere on that Gothamist spin-off future?

The shooting may have been related to a fight on the dance floor.

Dammit. Don't these kids know that fights on the dance floor can only be settled by a dance-off? Did NO ONE watch "You Got Served!" ????
