Hello Alex!

The tropical disturbance Gothamist mentioned last week has grown into Hurricane Alex. Alex is going to dump on the coastal Carolinas today before moving out to sea. Although there is a lot of rain not far south of us, it doesn't look like Alex will have much of a weather imact on our area but local surfers may enjoy the swells.

As for us, please see yesterday's forecast. There's a slight chance of rain this evening as a really weak front passes through. Although the chance of rain is slight, the showers we may get are likely to contain heavy rain because there is a lot of moisture hanging around in the lower atmosphere. The upper air wind patterns are unsettled for later Wednesday and Thursday. Don't be surprised if the forecast changes a lot over the next day or so.
