I wanted to get an egg cream last weekend, so I headed over to Brooklyn's 2002 winner of best egg cream, Kimberly's sweet shop. To my dismay, it was closed!! (it looked like maybe it was undergoing renovation). So I wandered around Carroll Gardens in search of an egg cream. When I found an ice cream shop with a really old guy inside I knew they would have egg creams. Although he used bottled seltzer the egg cream was still pretty good. I'll go to Eisenberg's ASAP.

Please note another great location to get an egg cream is Eisenberg's Sandwich Shop at 5th Ave and 21st. They are also known for their matzo ball soup and a killer bacon and egg salad sandwich. But the egg creams and lime rickeys are also superb!
