Say "Cheese"

2004_07_food_murrayswindow.jpgThe New York Times reports that Murray's Cheese shop is expanding:

MURRAY'S CHEESE SHOP in Greenwich Village will double its space to 1,200 square feet in the fall by moving across the street to 254 Bleecker Street (Cornelia Street). Its owner, ROB KAUFELT, said he has not decided what he will do with the present store.

Gothamist couldn't be more excited. Murray's is a neighborhood institution that provides us with more varieties of cheese than we can shake a stick at. More room = more cheese. What could be better?

Learn more about cheese at at Murray's website, or visit them at either of their two locations: Greenwich Village, Bleecker St. & Cornelia St. between 6th and 7th Aves; 73 Grand Central Terminal, 43rd and Lexington. And if you really, really love cheese, join the American Cheese Society.

For those who feel it's a bad idea to go out there, Fresh Direct offers Gray's Papaya dogs -- a little more expensive, but without a doubt, the best store bought dogs on the market.
