Something's In The Oven: Gothamist Food!

2004_07_gothamistfood.jpg

We've got another Gothamist blog in the public beta oven - Gothamist Food. Edited by Laren Spirer (who also has blog Sweet Blog o'Mine) and Jeremy Frost (he writes Frost Street), Gothamist Food strives to bring you food news, both local (hello, Sahadi's) and from faraway (like the awesome square watermelon from Japan). Plus, there's a weekly column by Joe DeSalazar, the master chef behind foodie - in the first one, he gives step-by-step instructions on how to emulate Thomas Keller's Butter Poached Lobster (God bless you, Joe, but you really really really overestimate us). If only computers came with Odorama and Taste-O-Vision. But at least this is low-carb.

And Gothamist's own food entries.

Love this. Love to eat. Am fat.

I was going to suggest this, as I thought of this yesterday. You've obviously thought of it way before I did. Good job.

Let the "freelance" reviews start pouring in. I see my bank account drying up quickly, as an inverse relation to my waist size.

Looking forward to it!

I hope gothamist food will make sure to include some vegan/vegetarian food options in the mix.
