And the winner is...
Consensus! Yesterday's maximum temperature in Central Park was 86 degrees. The consensus, or average, forecast was for a high of 86.6 F. Consensus almost always wins because the extremes cancel each other out. AccuWeather was too low, the Weather Service too high, and everyone else was bunched in between. This was fun, wasn't it? Gothamist try this again someday when a front is predicted to move through.
Today is a good day only for those guys, and it is always guys, who wear a towel around their neck, wiping the sweat away every couple of minutes. The dewpoint is way above 70 and a thunderstorm is about to roll over us. Keep dry everyone!
