If you want to watch Lance Armtrong race in the Tour de France, you either have to be in France or have the Outdoor Life Network. Lucky for those people around Times Square, you can watch the race live. George Vecsey points out that they are broadcasting it on the large screen until 11:30 at 44th and Broadway. Armstrong is going last and is scheduled to start at 10:58.
Armstrong, going for his 6th conscutive title, regained the overall lead yesterday after a day in the mountains. Today's time trial is 9.6 miles and an uphil climb for most of the way.
Can Lance retain the lead? Check out Times Square and you'll see. If you work in the area, let us know if you can see it from your office windows!

Here is an aerial photo of L'Alpe d'Huez, here is an article from Roadcycling.com Dissecting The Alpe d'Huez Time Trial (the first time Alpe d'Huez has been used as an Individual Time Trial), and finally, a Personal story of Bicycle Ride Up l'Alpe d'Huez. For those of you who don't follow cycling, L'Alpe d'Huez is to cycling what the Super Bowl and World Cup combined are to their respective sports.
Where's the webcam??? Okay so on the bike would be hard, but how cool would that be? but for real, too bad there isn't on of the broadcast in Times Square.
Lance is only a 5 time Tour winner, if he wins this year it will be his 6th.
He's Obviously inhuman, or on dope. Who knows? Seems like they all are.
