well, two years ago, the game ended in a tie after both sides ran out of pitchers. so this was the solution they came up with. the game "counts" now. but the problem is that a fair amount of players are on crap teams (every team has a player) and they probably don't care about home field. but this year, there are a lot of teams left in the race for the playoffs, so maybe more do care. it's a strange and not entirely good system. but what can you do? it puts some meaning into the game, which is pretty much an exhibition game in my mind.

This is stupid, playing for home field. Is this a way for MLB to get the players to really play?
