Ignite!

One thing on our radar for this week is Gen Art's combustible blow out soiree this Thursday. Firing up over at the Puck Building (493 Lafayette), Ignite! expects to draw a crowd of 1,000 for viewing of short films, a multimedia art exhibit curated by Trong Nguyen, and live performances by Flambeaux, the P-Cult and Showgirl of the Universe Ami Goodheart & the Coquettes. The Scratch Academy crew will also be on hand to teach some dj spinning techniques.

Other fiery features of the event: dancing, open bar and the opportunity to light up at the outdoor smoking terrace courtesy of Natural American Spirit.

The party runs 8pm-midnight and tickets are $35 at the door, $30 in advance and $25 for members.
