Ron Chernow's book The Prize is an incredible history of the oil industry from start to present (or 1993 anyway). More politicians should resort to, if not gunplay, at least fisticuffs. I'd pay good money to see Ted Kennedy or Rick Santorum whacked with a folding chair across the back.

"By the way, tons of real people were shot this weekend in NYC. None of them were fancy rich people playing dress up." Did any of them help start a country or draft the Constitution? Did any of them set up an artillery redoubt on the south side of the Raritan to repulse advancing British troops, giving other elements of the Continental Army time to effect a retreat? Did any of them found one of the largest banks in the world? Hamilton's worth remembering.

One of the worst recreations of anything I have ever seen. It's like they got their costumes from the same place "Medieval Times" gets their crap. By the way, tons of real people were shot this weekend in NYC. None of them were fancy rich people playing dress up.

Yeah, I think Hamilton stumbling around before falling over can be internal monlogued as "Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, fucking OUCH, ouch, OUCH!" Burr was a shit.

Gore Vidal's Burr has the most fantastic "fictional" (nonfiction novel) representation of the duel, and the horror and awe with which most citizen's regarded Burr with afterwards.

I was there! I rode my bike from Queens to Weehawken (advice: wear sunscreen) and had a great spot for all the dueling action. HAMILTON SHOT FIRST!!!!!
