Valuable Real Estate

Joyce Dopkeen/The New York TimesWhile reading today's New York Times article, A Whisk and a Prayer, about the stress, trials and tribulations of throwing a dinner party in a New York City studio apartment, Gothamist could certainly feel Nancy Rosen's pain. For the last dinner party we hosted, we too had to move half the furniture and borrow plates and chairs from the neighbors. We realized, however, that when looking at a picture of the author's kitchen, which the majority of Americans would view as impossibly microscopic, that our perspectives had been forever altered from over a decade of Manhattan apartment living. Our first reaction was, "my God, would you look at all that counter space!" Plus, we covet her dishwasher.
