Riddle of the Sphinx at Deitch

Something we're thinking of checking out this weekend is Dearraindrop's Riddle of the Sphinx Exhibition over at Deitch Projects (18 Wooster). Dearraindrop are an artist collective out of Rhode Island known for their psychedelic pop culture.

We hear this show is like an Egyptian theme park, complete with pyramid entryway and a 15ft sphinx. There's also a talking mummy and an underground neon tunnel that leads to the Make-Out City Catacombs.

The gallery will be open from 4pm-10pm both Saturday and Sunday and an array of bands will be on hand performing. See below for line-up.

Saturday 7/10
ELVISH PRESLEY, FREEDOM PEOPLE, PLATE TECTONICS, THE MYSTICAL UNIONISTS, Corndawg, PCPCG, ALGEBRASSIERE, THREACE, Crystal Castle

Sunday 7/11
TEMPLE OF BON MATIN, KITES, FEATHERS, MOUTHUS, kocho bi sexual, SLO-JAMS, DEARRAINDROP = MOCASYNTH MIXTEC{moccassin synthesizer and the kloud people}, KNIFESTORM, DREAMHOUSE, YOURS TRULY, TOKELEYS
